I was reading through a few of my favourite old "ghost books" and through some of our submissions and came across a VERY interesting story with little information...

Just west of the Village you will find Horsey's Point which was/is believed to be haunted by a very macabre looking ghost.

To quote Colombo:
"The ghost was described as being that of a man who looked morose and was apparently mute. His arms fell uselessly by his side; his head appeared to be tilted toward his right shoulder, as if he had been hanged."

From Mysteries of Ontario - Hounslow Press, 1999

We have also received a report saying that one person's grandfather spoke of the "ghastly ghost on the point" that he said was "tall and thin and whose head hung by a thread from the neck".

Grisly stuff indeed!

Can anyone shed light on this ghost? Does anyone have a name or a myth to place on the ghost of the point? Please, use the links below and let us know.
