We received the following report in June 2013

Driving home from Toronto June 14th 2013 on a route I take very often, but usually much earlier in the day.  I got to the intersection of Perth Line 29 and Perth County Road 130 at approx 10:22pm .  I was approaching from the south and stopped at the stop sign.  I had to wait for a car coming in from my left (west) before I could make my turn to go west onto county road 130.  While waiting I was just looking forward (north) across the intersection following my headlights straight in front of me across the intersection. My headlights showed a man from behind crossing the road on a diagonal going from the west side to the east side of the road about 20-25 yards ahead of me.  He was wearing a darker khaki coloured jacket and a ball cap type hat, white.  I noticed he had no legs and that he disappeared as he crossed the centre of the road (he was about two feet onto the east side of the road and vanished).  The oncoming car from my left had passed so I turned on my high beams and still no sign of him.  I drove through the intersection continuing northbound to where I saw him rolled down both front windows of the car and scanned the shoulders/ditches on both sides for several hundred yards at 30 km/hr.  At the first farm lane, I pulled in, turned around and retraced the last bit. No sign of him at all.

For the first time in nearly 42 years I think I saw an apparition! It was weird and surreal. Still not sure whether it was exciting or not? I didn't get excited or anything, I was just kind of: "oh, okay, that was interesting and kinda cool".

Our thanks and appreciation go out to the witness for sharing this experience with us. His description of not being overly excited nor frightened is actually fairly common with those who share in this type of experience. It is puzzling, but generally not frightful.
