We received the following report from one of our readers in June 2012

I moved into a home with my 3 children in the 80's It was a brand new town-home in a Co-op. They were young 10, 5 and 6 months.  My first experience was when my youngest was 7. I had wakened up in my room to chanting over my head very low at first and then louder and louder, I was terrified.

From then it went on for 26 years. You would hear the front door open and movement in the hallway right after that, I even hung a chime on the door and it would go off when the kids were at school. Things over the years were going missing. You would hear people talking , chatting , once outside coming in I yelled from the outside to whoever was on the other side to get out of the way cause I could hear talking, of course when I got in no one was home. you would here someone at night walk around in the living room and then up the stairs to the bedrooms.

My mother use to scream her head off right after this, she saw a child, men dressed in winter jackets, and two women with rags on their heads one young, one old and it looked like the wall was wood like a barn. you would hear growling in your ear. We brought a dog in once and we knew what ever this was didn't like the dog, you would be down in the basement and hear the dog thumping around like someone playing with it and then feet stomping and the dog whimpering.

There was so much happened in that house I could write a book. We always felt it was a man, children would come in and say " the bad man" and point and start to cry or beg to be lifted up. I nearly had a nervous breakdown in that house , I was so terrified. Things would go flying across the kitchen just to let you know someone was there. The basement door would just open on its own, when we would tell people what was going on.

Every dog we had in that house would stand on the main floor landing and growl down to the front room.  I had my pants pulled on the bottom leg, my hands slapped when Im sleeping, on and on.

We left that house and the new people had a dog that is now living with family somewhere else, probably because it was terrified . I would love to talk to them and ask if they have noticed anything in there, it seems after people leave that co-op they mention funny things and its all similar.

I have looked up that area, and there was nothing there but field. I looked up sites on the Scarborough Historical site. My sister still lives in that co-op and friends of mine. They see a dark figure standing at the doorway to the bedrooms, and hear people talking.
