We visited Swansea Town Hall (built 1956) located in the west end of Toronto on October 24th 2009. We accompanied a TDSB self interest course. While there we learned that in the 1990s during extensive renovations in the basement area an aboriginal skull was unearthed. It had been brought to the location within landfill. The skull was returned to First Nations for proper burial.

However, it is not a Native spirit that is thought to be the cause of the haunting activity reported at the site. That is attributed to a former caretaker who loved building, and is said to still keep an eye on it by carrying out his former duties.
