The Doctor's House - Kleinberg

It's not often that a ghost story hits a modern 'hot button' issue but the Doctor's House and Livery in Kleinberg is one such place.

(Editors Note: We're a ghost site. If you wish to discuss the moral ramifications of this story, there are much better venues so please, do not use this site as a sounding board. Thanks!)

It is mentioned in John Robert Colombo's Mysteries of Ontario that the old stone home has a resident spirit who's tell-tale wake of 'cold spots' let people know she has just passed by.

The story as reported in the book is that the original country doctor who lived in the home had a daughter who was 'with child' out of wedlock. Not wishing to incur the gossip of the locals of the time, he performed an abortion and ended up ending not only the pregnancy but the life of his daughter.

It is her that people feel is still wandering the halls of her former home.

We would love to have more information on The Doctor's House and Livery and if you have any reports, please e-mail them to us at ontario@ontarioghosts.org
