What is a TGHRS Investigation?
When you send in your report, photo or story, it is read and answered as promptly as possible by one of our staff who then decide on the next course of action.
Possibly, we only wish to contact you and ask some more questions for our files. We keep all submissions on file in case they are relevant to another report or if there is a possible follow-up. Possibly we contact you to let you know that the report, story or photo is already in our possesion and lastly, we may suggest an investigation.
If the investigation consists of scientifically trying to prove the origins of the phenomena, we will give it our best shot (even though our mandate is to only look into the legends, history, myths and first hand accounts,) and use the tools we have at hand.
Yes we take pictures and recordings but that is to "beef up", as you will, the content of the report on our page. As always, we do make every effort to get consent from all parties (see our copywrite information below) before proceeding on any type of investigation.
Many people ask if they can assist in investigations. If you think you can add to the collection of folklore, history, and witness reports and wish to assist with initial contact of people and others in relation to a report, read through our FAQ and fill out the form found there.
Most of the TGHRS research consists of reading, listening, reading, photographing, reading, documenting and finally re-telling.
