University of Windsor - Assumption College - Windsor - Probable Myth
A case of a ghost that wasn't?
Recently, we've had a couple of people write to us about a phantom in the University of Windsor. It seems, like theatres, all universities need their token ghost story and Windsor is no different.
Both e-mails were different in their description of the ghost except in one key factor.
The apparition is seen dressed in "white" and "glides down the hall" in Assumption College.
Well, after a VERY little effort in looking into the story, I found that JRC had once again beat me to the punch in "Mysteries of Ontario" and may have gotten to the source of this ghost.
A student he identifies only as "Gene C." apparently snuck down to the "junk room" and lit a cigarette (prohibited in the building,) dressed only in a white nightshirt. Another student wandering late at night spotted Gene and immediately cried "Ghost!"
Well, even after the admission, apparently, the "ghost" of the college is still talked about.
Now, we aren't going to say this is the end of the Phantom of Assumption College as far as possibilities but we would appreciate that if someone has a report or a "reason" for a ghost in the college to let us now. E-mail us at darren@ontarioghosts.org
