Port Severn - Bressette House

This is another home that is reputed to be haunted and is NOT on it's original foundation.

in 1993, the two-story farm house built in the 1880's was shifted to it's new location off Highway 69 near the north exit to Port Severn where it serves duty as the Muskoka Tourism Information Centre.

Apparently (according to John Robert Colombo's Mysteries of Ontario, the house is also home to the ghost of Tom Whithers who has been "haunting" the house from it's old location to the new.

Unfortunately, more than this, we do not know so we are hoping that someone may help us out by e-mailing us and filling in the gaps. What exactly does Tom (known as "Uncle Tom") do in his 'ghostly' form?

Of interest, they also moved the family barn to a new location and it too, according to the book, houses a ghost... that of a pet pig!

This story is QUITE intriguing so please, if you can fill in any of the gaps, do let us know at ontario@ontarioghosts.org
